The service was purchased for the Imperial Court in the shop of Jerome Corbie in France and was named after the owner. In 1823 the service was sent to the porcelain storerooms of Tsarskoye Selo and used during grand feasts.
In 1823 the Imperial porcelain factory produced additional pieces for 150 settings. In 1842 the factory produced tea-set in addition to the service.
Nowadays the museum owns bottles, sauce boats, salad and butter dishes, saltcellars, oval dishes of different size, round dishes, 4 types of plates, single tea sets.
The Corbievskii service can be called the beloved and long-playing because it was used in Tsarskoye Selo more then 100 years. The parade ensemble is exhibited now in the Hermitage pavilion.
